Guiding Principles
Consensual decision-making
Our decisions are made by consensus. That is, the views of all are heard and taken into account, and the decision arrived at is one to which all members can, at least, partially agree.
Collective leadership
Influence is exercised in a distributive manner, rather than centralized in the hands of a few.
Development-driven
Deliberations and decisions have a predominant focus on development considerations rather than considerations such as funds and financial resources.
Focus on action research, learning, knowledge and expertise
We derive our strength from grass-roots research, experience, insights and knowledge accrued therefrom.
Advocacy
We strive for a fair and equitable share for the poor and marginalized.
